Writers Circles: The Key To Finding Feedback On StoryForge

When it comes to story writing, some of the most important things you can do are get support and get feedback. Writing can be a lonely process so having a group of people there to help you along the way can be worth their weight in gold. If those same people are also writers and readers, they can also give you feedback on your story at the same time.

That’s the idea behind the Writers Circles on StoryForge.

So far, we’ve got over 60 Writers Circles for readers and authors to join but what exactly are they? Think of them like your personal group of confidants, but sorted by types. StoryForge has groups for fantasy writers, dark academia, adult-themed, cozy fantasy, and more. There are also groups for different types of authors. We have a group for disabled authors, LGBTQIA2S+, young and old authors, and even more. If you can’t find the group you’re looking for, you can create a new one too!

So what’s in a Writers Circle?

There are two parts to every circle. The first is a messaging board. You can start and carry on conversations with your fellow circle members. People use them to discuss their works in progress, ideas around story writing, tips and tricks, and more. There isn’t any direct messaging so the message boards are how you communicate with your fellow StoryForge members.

The second is the ability to release your story only to your specific Writers Circle. If you’re not ready to put your story out for everyone to see, you can share it just with one or more of the Circles you’re in. This way if you’re working on your post-apocalyptic story, you can share it directly to a Circle full of post-apocalyptic writers and readers. They’re going to be your target audience so you can make sure that they can find your story. Story writing is hard but it’s easier when you’ve got a group of built-in friends to read it for you!

Feedback and friendship are some of the core pillars of StoryForge and we think Writers Circles are going to be key for prospective writers to get the kind of feedback they’re looking for. Come find your circle today and get the feedback you deserve on StoryForge! We’re still fine-tuning them so let us know your thoughts and what else you’d like to see!
